Known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, Bibione is the second most popular beach resort in Italy (with almost 6 million visitors a year), and offers a great balance between nature and entertainment.
The name Bibione comes from the Latin word identifying the strip of sand between the lagoon and the sea. The development of Bibione as a tourist area began in 1956. Over a period of 50 years, the construction of hotels and shops has changed what was once an island to the right of the Tagliamento river into one of Italy's top family holiday destinations, with bags of entertainment for grown-ups and kids alike.
